No matter where we go in the world we’re always made incredibly welcome and particularly so when we say we’re Scottish. New York is no exception: it’s a well-known fact that every New Yorker has Scottish blood in them!
As this week is Tartan Week in the Big Apple and the NYC Tartan Day Parade takes place on Saturday 6th April with Sir Billy Connolly as the Grand Marshal, we dug through the archives, all the way back 17 years to uncover a few pics taken on film, of all things – yes, we’re that old.
We were there in 2002 to photograph a Tartan Week event and captured a few parade images in and around Central Park and Sixth Avenue. So, don the tartan, enjoy our throwback pics and give a wave to our Scots New York clan cousins across the pond.
