Stagecoach Megabus
About the project
International public transport company Stagecoach asked McAteer Photograph to work with them to create a collection of images that illustrated the Megabus experience, principles and brand personality to be used across the brand’s below-the-line social media campaigns.
The essence of the brief was to produce images that show the diverse range of Stagecoach customers enjoying various aspects of the travel experience. Stagecoach’s London-based digital team who commissioned the shoot were looking for a Scottish-based commercial photographer whom they could trust to produce a project of this scale as well as manage the entire job from start to finish and act as the key point of contact with the on-the-ground bus team in Cumbernauld.
The project took six weeks, with the shoot itself taking place over three days. We pulled together a fabulous team of experts in location production, casting, styling and hair & makeup, not to mention photography, resulting in fantastic images, meeting the client’s brief and forming a key part of a successful campaign. Key tasks we undertook to ensure everything ran smoothly included creating mood boards and style sheets, risk assessing and facilitating all health & safety requirements and sourcing dry and contingency wet weather locations for the shoot as well as nearby indoor locations for green rooms. We also co-directed the shoot, cast professional and street models and of course did the photography and managed the post-production to deliver a great collection of images well within budget. We loved working on this project with Stagecoach and it is a great example of the breadth of service we can deliver.
