Radisson Red
About the project
McAteer Photo first joined up with Glasgow’s newest and, arguably, trendiest hotel, Radisson RED in advance of the completion of their new site adjacent the River Clyde and Scottish Event Campus (SEC).
Radisson RED has a whole new ethos when it comes to hotel living, applying their philosophy that connects a millennial mindset through art, music and fashion. We’ll leave Radisson to explain exactly what that means but from what we’ve seen it’s a fun, funky and friendly place to stay when visiting the city.
As a Glasgow photographer, it was easy for us to make multiple visits to the location throughout 2018 to photograph and film all aspects of the new hotel: the interiors throughout the 10-storey building including the studio bedrooms, restaurants, lounges, games rooms and the RED Sky Bar with its phenomenal views over the River Clyde and the architectural exterior that changes colour with the as the day progresses. We photographed lifestyle scenes with models of the humankind and the wonderful Baxter the hotel dog. We shot food and drink images for pre-launch including, of course, the infamous RED cocktails. RED also asked us to create some short films for social media and web stories in advance of the opening to showcase their food and cocktail offering. Last but not least, we provided some location photography to show the stunning views from the building and its Glasgow city locale at SEC and Pacific Quay.
Along with the shots illustrating this story, you can see our images in use on Radisson RED’s site here.
