Aerial detail of the units at dusk
At McAteer Photo we’ve always believed in the power of photography to tell the story of place, especially when that place is transforming for the better.
That’s why we were delighted to be commissioned by Clyde Gateway to photograph two brand new business units recently completed at the former Shawfield industrial site which is part of their ambitious £500 million Innovation District masterplan. Once a heavily contaminated area, Shawfield is now being reimagined as a vibrant hub for business, employment, and clean growth.
As we’re based in the area, this regeneration is particularly close to home. We’ve long admired the vision and commitment behind developments like the Magenta building, which we also had the pleasure of photographing. These new business units are another powerful step in the ongoing transformation of Shawfield, and we’re proud to help document it.
From dereliction to opportunity – a story we’re honoured to help tell.
