With Easter around the corner, it was quite timely to get a commission from the Church of Scotland.
For this project, we were asked to photograph an impressive display of murals, stained glass, furniture and artworks created by members of the different churches in Glasgow. Alan was particularly taken by the Alasdair Gray’s mural, The Birth, Death and Resurrection which can be seen at St Francis in the East church in Bridgeton as well as the stained glass in the Govan Cross Parish church and the Colston Wellpark church.
The Church of Scotland evidently has a vast array of highly skilled craftspeople in their Glasgow congregations. Our photographs will be showcased in the different churches with the hope that the parishioners’ shared passions will bring them together. ☺
Speaking of creativity, we hope that you all have the most wonderful time painting, hiding and finding your eggs this Sunday. Happy Easter.
