Did you visit this year’s Glasgow School of Art graduate degree show?
We’ve been visiting and documenting GSA degree shows for many years and are always left astounded by the talent, innovation and sheer hard-labour being showcased.
There’s always an energetic buzz about a degree show which hopefully comes across in the images but when I photograph the shows, I look for angles to best capture the work and present it in the way I think the artist would want it to be viewed. This year’s graduate degree show was hung with a particular attention to detail making it a pleasure to shoot.
The show was divided up into two locations, Fine Art + Sound for the Moving Image in the Tontine Building and Architecture, Design, Simulation + Visualisation and Innovation in The Garment Factory. I could’ve spent days in each of them.
Here you can find a few of my favourite shots.
