Former clyde street school is complete

Helensburgh Council offices

Graham Construction asked us to photograph this fabulous refurbishment of the Grade B listed former Clyde Street School in East Clyde Street, Helensburgh.  It now provides new community spaces including a café, marriage suite, gallery and meeting rooms. The new extension building will be the council offices and the landscaped grounds open for public use, with an outdoor events and marriage area and community garden.  What a view – you wouldn’t believe this is in Scotland (when the sun is shining anyway).  The wirework mask sculpture, designed by sculptor John McKenna is of Lady Helen, who the town is named after.  The town’s skyline features along the bottom.
