Spearhead Healthcare is a major supplier to the care home industry. Their marketing consultant, Kirsty Innes Marketing asked us to help build their newly conceived brand in pictures. To avoid using stock images used by other care sector companies, Kirsty and Spearhead wanted to create an exclusive library of still images for use in print and online. The images needed to bring the brand’s personality to life and help communicate three main themes; quality of service, quality of product and quality of care.
Their new strapline “taking care of care” sums up their ideal of supporting the carers who are looking after those people living in care homes throughout the country. The care of people is at the core of everything Spearhead does and this was our focus for several photo shoots at a variety of locations. We photographed staff at work at the Spearhead offices and distribution hub showing the various elements of their service and also in client care homes showing carers at work along with real residents in their home environment.
We worked to a comprehensive brief with mood boards, liaised with care homes, created scenario-based timed shoot lists to accommodate the complex schedules within the company and the care homes, cast supplementary models, facilitated clearances, provided styling services and directed and photographed each shoot.
We were humbled by the care home residents and staff who all joined in the project with great gusto and allowed us to get so up close. The resulting shots are a very personal study of a valued generation and those who provide and care for them.
